HMD Global Teases Launch of 'Charged Up' Nokia Smartphone for May 29 HMD Global  has started teasing a new Nokia phone launch for May 29. The Finnish company uses hashtag #ChargedUp to suggest a handset or multiple handsets with a large battery. We could assume the awaited global variant of the  Nokia X6  as the showstopper of the event. The first Nokia X series model comes with Quick Charge 3.0 that helps deliver 50 percent of power in 30 minutes. Some previous speculations, however,  hinted at  the arrival of the  Nokia 2 ,  Nokia 3 , and  Nokia 5  refreshes that are likely to upgrade the user experience over last year's respective models. Microsoft Says Building Tool to Spot Bias in AI Algorithms After  Facebook  announced its own tool to detect bias in an algorithm earlier this month, a new report suggests that  Microsoft  is also building a tool to automate the identification of bias in a range of different  Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms. Apple Set to Counter Microsoft By Building 'Star' Hybrid Computer With ARM Processors: Report Amid rumours of  the Mac ecosystem coming a step closer to iOS ,  Apple  is now reportedly building a hybrid computer that is said to use  ARM processors. Facebook Alleged to Collect User Data From Texts and Photos Already under fire for misuse of users' data after the  Cambridge Analytica scandal came to light, a new filing in a California lawsuit now alleges that  Facebook  collected information on users and their friends through its apps. The filing is part of a suit brought against Facebook in 2015 by now-defunct startup Six4Three, CNET  reported  on Thursday. The claims were made in a filing submitted last week to the superior court in San Mateo, California, the report said. To collect the information, Facebook used several methods including tracking users' locations, reading their text messages and accessing their photos on phones, according to the allegations as  reported  by the Guardian. Facebook Privacy Review Now Available in 11 Indian Languages; Privacy Info to Become More Transparent Facebook  on Friday announced that it is rolling out privacy review in 11 Indian languages, starting with  Facebook for Android  users in the country. This comes in the wake of the company's updated privacy policies in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation ( GDPR ) that will be put into action in Europe starting May 25. In the coming weeks, Facebook users will be shown a customised message that displays information such as use of data for advertising, personal information that users have chosen to make public, usage of face recognition, and updates to Facebook's terms of service and data policy. Flipkart-Walmart Deal: CAIT Fears Predatory Pricing by Walmart Continuing its protest against the $16-billion (roughly Rs.1.07 lakh crores)  Flipkart-Walmart deal , the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Friday wrote to commerce minister Suresh Prabhu expressing concerns that Walmart might adopt predatory pricing and deep discounting, which will kill the trade. In its second letter to Prabhu, the traders' lobby referred to  Walmart  as "the US version of The East India Company", and also asked for a thorough investigation of the Walmart- Flipkart  deal. "Walmart is nothing but a US version of The East India Company which conquered the country," CAIT said in the letter, adding, "It is highly regretted that some of the people for just merely earning the profit have sold major chunk of commerce to Walmart."
