Samsung Galaxy J4+, Galaxy J6+ India Launch Said to Be Set for This Week

In an attempt to take on Chinese smartphone brands in India, Samsungis set to launch two new smartphones - Galaxy J6+ and Galaxy J4+ - in India this week. Both the smartphones are likely to be priced between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 20,000, industry sources told IANS.
The Galaxy J6+ is expected to come with dual rear cameras along with the support of an industry-first side fingerprint sensor, IANS reports. The Galaxy J4+ is likely to come with a new 'Emotify' feature that would allow millennial users to express themselves better, the news agency added.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched Galaxy J8 and Galaxy J6 mid-segment smartphones in India. In July this year, the South Korean tech giant claimed to have sold over two million units of Galaxy J8 and J6 in the country.
Separately, Samsung India has started teasing the launch of new smartphoneson its site, listing the same things that IANS reports, such as dual rear cameras, a side fingerprint sensor, and the Emotify feature. The microsite also lists an Infinity Display, and boasts of vibrant colours, leading us to expect AMOLED displays.
The same teaser is being shown on Amazon India, indicating that the new smartphones will be exclusive to e-commerce site in the country. Not much else is known about the smartphones so far, beyond the IANS report and teasers. Samsung in late July claimed that its Galaxy J-Series of smartphones account for one in three smartphones sold in the country.

Hacker Claims to Have Compromised 18,000 Huawei Routers Using Botnet

A hacker claims to have created a botnet within 24 hours that has compromised 18,000 routers of Chinese telecom giant  Huawei . The cyberattacker, who goes by the pseudonym Anarchy, boasted of building the botnet by using an old vulnerability, ZDNet  reported  on Friday.  According to a report in Bleeping Computer, this new botnet was first  spotted  this week by security researchers from a cyber security company called NewSky Security. Following the news, other security firms including Rapid7 and Qihoo 360 Netlab confirmed the existence of the new threat as they saw a huge recent uptick in Huawei device scanning. The botnet author reached out to NewSky security researcher Ankit Anubhav who believes that Anarchy may actually be a well-known threat actor who previously identified as Wicked.
